Blizzard have announced more Alpha Sign-Ups for Heroes Of The Storm,  their impressive new MOBA that allows you to play as characters from all your favourite Blizzard games, from Diablo to StarCraft.

The game has a host of exciting features, such as battlegrounds affecting the gameplay, mercenary camps, Towns, some campaign style map modes, lots of customisation options and mounts.  They’re also drawing on their entire back catalogue for characters, including Diablo, WoW, StarCraft and Warcraft, which should bring some character to the MOBA genre, and you can also expect that high level of polish that Blizzard bring to their games.

As well as signing up for the Alpha, there’s also another way to get your hands on Heroes Of The Storm.  Players who are already in the Alpha are allowed to ‘bring their friends to the brawl’ once they reach level 20.  So maybe now’s the time to ‘encourage’ your mate to play a little more of this fine looking MOBA!

Chipset-0 is a fun pixel art puzzle platformer that gives you an important choice – comply with your directives or don’t.

Throughout it’s short 10 minute playtime, you’ll have to connect power sources, solve basic puzzles and avoid the mainframes defenses.   You control Chipset-0, a charming little mechanised maintenance unit that has an important mission: plug disconnected humans back into the System.  You don’t really know much more than that, and being a robot you shouldn’t real care, should you?

Now on Kickstarter, The Very Organised Thiefis a first person thief simulator that sets you loose in an unsuspecting families house and gives you a random list of loot to find and steal.

A lot of the items you need to steal can be found lying around the house, but the more valuable stuff is hidden away in nooks and crannies or under lock and key.  You’ll have to be careful when poking around the house though, the owners won’t stand for you nicking their stuff – get caught and you’ll be beaten black and blue.  Manage to escape the house and you’ll be get a score, a thief rating and un uncontrollable urge to try again.

The Very Organised Thief has just started a Kickstarter campaign, and promises to greatly expand on the premise of the prototype.  So if you fancy contributing some of your ill-gotten gains, check out the campaign!

Wings of Saint Nazaire is a gorgeous, pixel-based space combat game inspired by Wing Commander and the X-Wing series.

We first covered Wings of Saint Nazaire last year, and it just keeps on getting more awesome every time we see it.  As well as even prettier visuals, better audio, performance and explosions, there’s are more selectable ships, all with unique cockpits and weaponry.  These ships have a great arcadey feel, similar to X-wingnimble and agile, making dogfights a delight, as you shoot, swerve and barrel roll your way through space.

The standout feature of Wings of Saint Nazaire has to be the visuals though (the GIFs above don’t do it justice).  Utilising some strange mixture of pixellated sprites, cool lighting effects and black magic, the devs have managed to make a 3D Pixel Art space shooter that’s retro, futuristic and incredibly cool.  Whether you’re blowing things up or just admiring the scenery, you won’t regret getting in the cockpit of Wings of Saint Nazaire.

Kings Conflict is an inventive mix of Turn based strategy, Trading Card GameRisk and Chess where two players battle it out for supremacy, with the last king alive being crowned the winner.

As in Chess, players must protect their king at all costs, but instead of pawns, bishops and horsies to protect you, you have a deck of cards.  There are around 90 varied and well thought-out cards cards in the game at present, with each one costing gold to place on the map and using up a set amount of food per turn.  Once on the map, you can move, attack, buff and occupy blocks of terrain with them.  A little like Risk, terrain that you occupy and control will generate you more gold and food.

There are a few more rules, but everything is covered in the well implemented tutorial, which we’d highly recommend playing before diving in to a real match.  Still in the Alpha phase of development, Kings Conflict really is an addictive and easy to learn game that offers inventive card design and deep, strategic Chess-like battles against your opponents.
